Your visit,
from start to finish.

Before

Make a plan.

Your provider examines your skin and reviews tanning, medications, and pigment history. Some spots need medical evaluation before cosmetic treatment.

During

Know what to expect.

Protective eyewear is used while pulses of light are delivered to selected areas. You may feel heat or a snapping sensation.

After

Give it time.

Expect possible redness and swelling. Treated pigment may look darker before fading; protect your skin from sun and follow aftercare.

Is IPL a laser?

IPL is intense pulsed light, not a laser. Your provider chooses the treatment approach for the specific pigment or vascular concern.

Can all skin tones have IPL?

Not every skin tone or condition is suitable. Pigment changes and burns are possible, especially with tanning or inappropriate settings. A skin assessment comes first.

How many sessions will I need?

Some concerns need a series. We explain the likely number and spacing after evaluating your skin and response.

Does IPL treat melasma?

Melasma requires careful assessment and may worsen with heat or light in some people. Tell us about any history of melasma so we can discuss suitable alternatives.

What are the risks?

IPL can cause burns, blistering, pigment changes, or scarring, as well as temporary redness and swelling. Review your health history and sun exposure with your provider before treatment.
